Embargo 59, the latest venture from ever-expanding bar group Eclectic, has been renamed, redesigned, and is ready to bring stylish nightlife back to the King's Road on June 26th. Eclectic are the ever-expanding bar group behind the ubiquitous Po Na Na brand. Embargo 59 - previously just Embargo - now has a Cuban influence throughout, from the luxe gold floors and ceilings to the exclusive walk-in cigar humidor, where patrons can purchase from a fine selection of Havanas supplied by Fulham's Hunters & Frankau.
The drinks menu too is suitably inspired, with 25 different rums on offer as well as Martell Cohiba cognac, Sipsmith London gin and an array of classic cocktails, from Mojitos to Daiquiris. The venue will be open and serving four days a week from 10pm until 3am, allowing visitors plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere and try out the illuminated dancefloor. The increased capacity gives room to 300 potential revellers, both new crowds and familiar faces.
With guests of the past including Princess Beatrice, Hugh Grant and Jensen Button, Embargo 59 is stepping up its VIP game, with MD Reuben Harley confident in providing an "unrivalled VIP experience". He says, "Our customers have rewarding careers, live in sought-after locations and can afford luxuries and premium quality products, even in today's financial climate". The recession clearly won't be getting in the way of this party
